Okay...I registered and was accepted, tried to login but was told my screen name was already in use. So I exited the site and opened again, tried to login again, and was told my password was invalid.

Let me have a look, Tom.
We surely don't want to miss you there!
-
Try now, please.
You weren't acivated yet. I checked your email and it was the same as here. You should receive an email with your account details. Please, report back either here or there if everything went well.
-
I just tried to register and never received an email to confirm registration.
Did I do something wrong?
Thanks
-
I activated you...
-
Thank you sir!!
-
In like Flynn...thanks, Gai!
-
Welcome guys...
-
I perhaps picked the wrong user name. I got registered, and made a post, but it appears my stats did not carry over.
Todd
p.s. I used my userid as it displays here on this forum, telling me I am logged on.
-
As Coen's explaining above...
Yet I still send my post:
Todd, your profile there shows 4 posts altogether. You have 4 posts.
In order to carry these stats that you collected here, we will still need to finish first the transfer and second the attributing of the posts to their original posters (such as you).Have a look at the Hungarian subforum over there - except for three topics here all topics and posts were transferred. "humanicnc" (alias "kecsaphu" here) has already got back a bunch of his posts back (I think he has posted here that I haven't transfered yet).
Note this is not an automated transfer (read Coen's post above). I hope this explains.

I've registered but no email yet, don't worry if I'm in a queue, just thought you should know.
-
I have the same as Paul...
Registered, but haven't received an e-mail...
But I'm able to login using my new account...Thought I should let you know...
Cheers

We started "admin activation" to "speed up" the process.Paul, Kim, I remember activating you. You should be able to log in there now.
Also (because the big "rush") we suspended activation at all (that was after you) so registering members need not wait for the activation email at all now (for the time being).
Just register- and the rest is ours...

I'm in! As easy as pie. Thanks Coen et. all.
Remember, "If all else fails read the directions!"
Cheers Bill.
PS. You'll find me in the corner bar, so who's paying for the next round? Make mine Speights!
Cheers, Bill -
I like it, this also means starting out with 0 inactive users, doesn't it.
-
Darrel,
"Inactive" users are important and valuable as well. Maybe they don't share skin rb-s but they are here. Maybe to learn from you maybe to enjoy your script (thanks a lot BTW - I'm enjoying it a lot) but that's what a forum's all about.
Quite a lot of them made "firsts posts" when there was that "Craig topic" for instance. They do count and we hope they will also transfer.
True however that a good deal of them may not even visit these forums as "lurkers" either.
But I know how it is; I myself "lurk" at the KT Forums quite a lot for example. And I'm personally glad if you move over to the new board. I'll make sure that all the skin.rb topic gets perfectly transferred, too!
-
Yes, lurkers are important. Didn't mean to make them look bad, but I now see how that post would.

Frederik, as I have stated a couple of times now, all of this can be found in the announcement. I don't mean to sound rude or anything, but it really sucks if there is more than enough time spent on preparations (such as a properly written announcement) and then people still report on missing e-mails. We have informed everybody of this in our announcement (that is partly what it is for). Now if people don't bother reading these things then obviously they will miss such details. So please, next time, read the announcement in full.
Thank you.
My apology, Coen!
Will never happen again...
Cheers

And I didn't mean that your post would make them look bad - I just wanted to clarify the thing and make sure they don't misunderstand.
Everyone's happy now so let's have some drinks around!
