If your lines form a nice triangulated mesh, Todd Burch's Makefaces.rb might do the trick. It is a freebie from the Smustard site.

I tried that script and I couldn't get it to work.

your tutorial looks like it is exactly what I need. I downloaded the scrips used in the tutorial and I'm sure I saved them in the correct place but I could't find the tools once saved. I restarted SU and it still wasn't there. I even had a friend who is more of a computer wiz the I am and we still couldnt get it. Is there a trick or am I doing something wrong?

I have also attached several more images. a little further along than the last time. Any tips or advice will be greatly apprieciated, especially since this is due in 48 hours and I dont see much sleep in my the near future.

Dont pay much attention to the materials as I have not added any yet. Also I know that some of the faces are reversed, Those issues will all be taken care of before the final

Perk, the weld.rb you place in your plugins folder. When you open SU you will see it in the Plugins dropdown menu.

Soapskin, download zip file. Unzip it all to tools folder. Once in SU, go to View/Toolbars scroll down to soapskin and tick.
This will place a small toolbar in SU.

            Yet another thing:
go to Window > Preferences > Extensions and enable the SSB plugin there (scroll down if you cannot see).
            BTW - enable everything there...

Then go to View > Toolbars and enable the scripts toolbar.

            Gai...

              Perk,
I can't believe you do not use ruby's. Your modeling skills are superb. How did your final model turn out. This is interesting. Did you use follow me for all the tubes?

This thread was what got me started using rubys. I use the weld ruby all the time now. I did use the follow me tool to create the tubes. I also started useing the sandbox from contours tool to create the wall infills which saved me a LOT of time. I still consider myself a newby. But I think my skills are increasing rapidly mostly due to this forum. I did finish the model and it turned out great. Someday when I get time I will post it.

                Thanks for your coments

                  Hello Perk,
You should try soapskin if you already haven't. It's as good as windowizer. What am I saying, there are a lot of good ones depending on the circumstance 😄

I never was able to get the soapskin ruby to work. I think I was doing something wrong but I will try it again when the oportunity comes again, which I'm sure it will.
