      Hi solo, really nice ones.
I'd especially like the 2God ray" one but those rays for some reason appera to be kind of "independent" from the surrounding.
I mean that a bit more in the left you can see through the arches and there doesn't seem to be anything that would explain (generate) this effect.

Was it within the "natural render" or some Post process?

      Gai...

        Thanks.

The images are made up of a straight Podium render and a 2D SU export, they are then blended in Paintshop pro. The 'God-ray' has a 'zoom' blur on it and thus appears not to blend, I will do one later with some severe god rays, but this time I won't zoom it.

                    Drugged... I love it.
It immediately reminded me of a Spongebob episode where he and Patrick turned on Mermaid Man and Barnicle Boy's Orb Of Confusion.

Yes I have seen every episode with my daughter... and a few without her 😄

Utiler, I believe there is a sepia style standard with SU 6 pro, or at least a similar one in colors, if not then I would use a sepia effect in post processing.

Eric, I have two boys and we love Spongebob, I have built a full Bikini bottom model with all characters thats poseable (I have a few renders on my website in Fun section). The last one reminds me of University in the 80's.

                          Nice work! 😄

Can you post the .SKP file?

Or send it to al.hart AT renderplus DOT com?

I would like to try IRender Nxt's new indirect lighting algorithm with it.

                          Thanks,

The board is optimized for 1024 screen resolution.
This board is cropping these images while the old board exploded the style (the post was wider than the others)

Thanks for helping me find the SKP model.

I rendered it with the new IRender nXt engine, using HDRI illumination rather than the sun, and indirect lighting effects.

I used to be a Accurender fan ( the core behind the IRender nXt ) but now i am mush disappointed about it's development. In old times it was way ahead its time ( remember Radiosty ) but now it's lacking a lot. see the above pic, how can you compare it even with podium. forget about the big brothers like Mexwell, Vray, Fryrender,KT, Indigo etc.

The point of the IRender rendering was that it was done without adding lights, etc.

Here are some more Sponza renderings of the same model created by another user:

                                          http://nxt.accurender.com/photos/sketchup/images/1889/640x480.aspx

                                          http://nxt.accurender.com/photos/sketchup/images/1888/640x480.aspx

Nxt is much improved for lighting and reflection. But its big value, especially for SketchUp users (who tend to create relatively quick 3D models of things, as opposed to, say, Rhino, which is used for much more complex models), is that it can make really good renderings with no effort - using the "High Dynamic", automatic lighting. And if you take the time to add a little reflection, it can be quite stunning.

See the nXt gallery for more samples: http://nxt.accurender.com/photos/

Also, (for the record), IRender nXt is not based on the old AccuRender engine, but on an entirely new engine, which is doing some really impressive things.
