Need help with a boat
-
I am looking at taking a sailing kayak like the one in the following link and adding hydro-foils to it to see how fase I can sail her. It alreadys has two foils on the outside outriggers but I want to add two more under the hull. I need the drawing to help convince the boat maker that it is possible. Here is the link to the boat and a link to aa Moth Sail boat that flys over the water.

First, what do you mean by "help"?
Second, if the builder of the boat doesn't think it's possible, why do you?

The help I need is that I want the build a model of the boat. I can draw it in SU flat but I can not get the curve of the hull. The builder never said it was not possible. I want to see if it is. There are all kinds of small boats ever kayaks out there that have hydrofoils. I just want to be able to put the two together.

well do a search on boat building here... and at the other GG forum... there are many posts about Hulls and Boats and Ships...
also there is the 3D warehouse if you just wnat to play and not build from scratch...
http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/search?q=kayak&btnG=Search&styp=m&reps=1
otherwise can you get us some plans?

Right now the only plan I have is this one.
http://www.triaksports.com/design/I imported this as an image and dre over the top of it. It came out great but it is the 3D where I get in trouble.

well to start off you'll want to make all the views in 2d and then place them symetrically around the proposed dimensions of the craft. then start making ribs to set at each section of the boat... does that help?

The first thing you need to do is to draw a series of cross-sections through the main hull and the pontoons (one of them). Maybe every foot or so.
Then, if you wish, I can advise you on how to transform them into a 3D model.
Or, you can peruse this thread and see if you can work it out yourself.
