Extend a rod with with screw thread

I am trying to create a screw thread. Inside M6 thread. And standard speed. It is meant to screw one rod to another

What version of SketchUp are you using? That will help us to know what tools you have available. What have you done so far?
These are all M6 for 3D printing.
