is there a bug or issue within Sketchup which could result in selecting a group, then a too and as soon as you click the left mouse button, the tool or colour palette selection changing?
EG. Selectfacet within a group, then select 'gainsborough' as the colour/texture. Left click on the facet but the facet is 'painted' with 'red leather' or some other colour in the model colour/texture box.
