Maga, Putinista, all trolls.
-
To be fair, the trade defecit has reached eye watering levels some time ago and that cannot be sustained.
The thing is HOW it is done rather than it being done at all.
Sidling up to putin and dumping on just about everyone else does nobody any good.

Yes How, I am in totally aware of the deficit and how much the US owes. It is not sustainable. But you do not solve anything by tanking the economy. and making enemies of friends. loosing many billions of dollars on the sale of the F35 peoples are considering the Swedish Grippen. And I will bet my bottom dollar on the world will stop buying Boing and buy the Airbus. Us has a great need for aluminium for the boing imagine the price of a 737 with a 25% tariff and the aluminium component. What about putting 25% Tarif on a rolls Royce engine?
Absolutely crazy, full on crazy. Bloodbath for the US economy, bloodbath and the repercussions will hit us allWent to the market to buy Mandarins a few days ago and the were grown in the US, I bought oranges

My thoughts exactly. This sh*tshow is bad for everyone -except for Russia and China.
I'm guessing Trump is wooing Putin because he'd like to drive a wedge between the Russians and the Chinese, but honestly, I'd be surprised if that worked. I'm rather sure, on the other hand, that he'll manage to diminish the US's standing and influence.
Also, if Trump and Musk continue to dismantle the American government, they'll likely leave the US's democracy in an perilous state. Which is worrisome.
-
Hi Guys< take my word for this please. I came up with a scenario on what Trump and musk are up to (above post) I posted that post 6 days ago coincidently, as this video was released 6 days ago, but I only found this in my YT algorithm about an hour ago (I swear) This guy has brought up almost the exact scenario. What i saw in trumps is that his actions are exactly what you would need to do to tank an economy, I saw the pattern very, very clearly. Then I saw this Video I was so shocked as in the back of my mind I was questioning my metal health, I posted the the question to an AI bot. It said the concept above had possibility. But also pointed out that there would be checks and balances in place within admiration. I wounder maybe trump is trashing and gutting institutions as a smokescreen that he is also getting rid of those that do these "Checks and balances" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_1OLNnRRAC4

I watched a video called "I Asked AI If Trump Is a RUSSIAN ASSET. And Here’s What It Said" It is balanced and not conspiracy platform, nor is it definitive, is interesting however Chat GTP breaks down some interesting things about trumps nature and motivation. If you have a bit of spare time I think is is worth a look
-
Seriously, watch too much of that crap and you will be chewing pink Smarties, wearing a fetching tightly sleeved romper suit in a hotel room with very soft wallpaper, got nothing on Cushell etc.
While the allegations are at least 99% accurate, you have to remember the agenda of anti social media actors like that.
Personally my reliance on that bullshit for any kind of considered opinion on anything, let alone current events is somewhat below sub zero on the 'cool' wall.
Personally, putin and trumplet could join ping and xi in the next artificial reef somewhere deep and cold, feeding the phishes was never so much fun.
-
No, I use a lot of sources to find out things that interest me. Chat GTP is very accurate and objective and is certainly accurate. I will continue to use it. And about me chewing pink pills You only see what I post here. I am not obsessed but finding out and research what I please. This world feels like it is balancing on a knife edge from so many ways. If it sounds in any way that I am a conspiracy theorist I am certainly am not I like the game of finding the truth, it normally takes a while but I enjoy the game.
-
WHat I said came out wrong, not you as in you but the average person out there for whom everything written is fact.
Sorry.
Going off to soak my head.

All good, no worries Mike

It simply scoops up information it finds around the internet.
I've made it write short articles on Dutch and Flemish writers, and believe me, what it came up with was quite often way off.
I'm not sure, btw, Trump wants to tank the US economy. Never attribute to malice that which etc.
I'm guessing you guys heard about the Signal thing. These people are dumb.
-
Signal thing, yeh so crazy and incapable, the FBI woman being questioned by the senator, saying that what was passed on was not classified so it could be disseminated then the senator "ok if it was not classified show me what it was".................silence! What about trump saying Ukraine attacked Russia? you could not make this stuff up. It seems s to me that trump is making an oligarchy, even with my objective head on, He (it) is dismantling the US government checks and balances bit by bit. He is taking an axe to the courts of the land which would and getting rid of anybody how stands in his way. Some might say if we could get rid of him Vance would step up, what a mess we are in. The Australian Leader has stated publicly that Australia can no longer trust or rely upon the US government I am am thinking that other leader are saying the same. In Aus. we have a facility called pine gap which is top secret American "over the horizon radar" what sort of what would we do with that US critical US infrastructure if are Governments distance the US? Never in my life had I ever given the thought. Why is trump siding up to putting, WTF

Well, AUKUS may require a plan B, South Korea, Japan UK, Oz plus whoever else can be invited. Canada not so likely in the sub project as they rarely went outside territorial waters for quite some time now. They are still likely to turn to germany for the type 212 or variants anyway. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Type_212A_submarine
The rest, we can all still benefit from so a large change from a US perspective makes little sense, they are short of yards to refit and repair subs and big ships so investment in Oz makes more sense than abandoning the project. Also, the PRC is a threat to the USA, directly so AUKUS will probably see no more than a few delays.
Trump is basically a bully and a moron. Hurting your base of support while claiming democracy and patriotism? Boeing is a can of worms yet they have just been selected for the NGAD aircraft the now named F-47. The intention of the DoD has been to replace the F-22 but with many more than the 197 of that aircraft. OK, considering they are demanding tariff's on parts from overseas, how will that work on the intention to make the F-47 cheaper to run? What do folk think of the company so badly run that the union strike cost them billions and they were also fined billions in the US for miliotary aicraft safety failings. Tools found in the wing boxes of 737 variants anyone? Explained all the banging and rattling that aircrews complained about.
More than 500 components from the UK go into the F-35 for example, stick tariffs on that lot and the USA is hurting more than before. How will the USA confront the PRC without bases in Oz? Not likely tbh, They have a much better TOO ability if they stick to AUKUS regardless of politics so we come back to the theory you mentioned of crashing the USA economy for profit. Why on earth (Pun, sorry) would you gut NASA in favour of the hedonist formerly known as musk? All these tarrif threats DO affect the economy whereupon the get delayed which improves the economy. Buy low sell high. As L i am said.
For me, I look for logic, there is little there imho but, take a close look at how AH made an enemy of the Jews to unify the rest of Germany. For a nation so damaged by the demands for reperations of the armistice (Note, NO peace treaty ever signed after WW1, a bit like the Korean war).
Take into consideration the world bank crash (Ringing any bells) and the flu pandemic (more bels)..............
Due to the blockade by allied nations, it is claimed that 763,000 civilians died from starvation.
The psychological effects of these events is certain to effect how people see themselves, someone who wants to MAGA or reintroduce the Soviet 'empire'.
When the wall came down and the USSR fell over due to debt etc, many from the west sought to make hay and this is also seen as a plan to destroy Russia, not my view but consider memory and experience akin to the Germany/Weimar republic post WW1.
Japan was short of resources but was unable to let go of the desire for empire, the military had the emperor over a barrel. Cutting off access to raw materials, oil etc brought the industrial growth almost came to a halt which would cost business leaders plenty. so, war it is. When the japanese took the British colonies in the east, they had supplies for two days. Bluff and counter bluff?
I agree with europe being responsible for our own defence but with reduced customer base, how long can orders from the US DSod alone keep mega companies like NG, LM, Boing etc continue and can they AFFORD the product they sell with prices going threough the roof? The PRC are now producing comparible wide body civil aircraft which will only get better, Airbus are soaking up cancelled Boing orders and this can only get worse......
Sadly, I predict that attempts on the resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue will increase. This will polarise opinions further but the damage with vance at the helm will hardly cease occuring.
Perfect storm?

SO FAR beyond dumb. Ignorance and hubris are dangerous together.

Why is trump siding up to 'Pootin',
Pootin has info on him AND he owns tRump's debt. Jr and Eric have already admitted to this years ago.

I think the COMAC 919 will fail to get traction in the world market for many years due to it not having many millions of safe flying hours, I am only talking about myself here but I would not fly on one, and that is why I think western world airlines would invest right now due to passengers perhaps have the same fear as myself. 713x COMAC 919 have been ordered but I think that is for the a domestic market ATM. I think all theories should be considered, at the moment as it is early days but right now but trumps minions. I think now would be a good time to invest in Airbus. So many norms are being thrown away, feels like a real nightmare getting worse by the . Now there is speculation out there that some say the f35 has a remote OFF switch, I say this is speculation only ATM Australia has just bought 78 of them and they are delivered.
-
@Stinkie I must point out that the theory about oligarchy. It is just a theory. But lets see how it plays out. Nothing is off the table though.
