      Hej guys!

I would like to clarify a question to which I have not yet found an answer:
Which notebook should accompany me in the coming years, Windows or Mac?

At the moment I'm still working with SU21 and would like to stick with it for a while longer until I switch to the latest version with a subscription.
I use SU Podium for rendering and am very happy with it, the program is ideal for my requirements.
      I've been working on a Dell G3 15 with i7-8750H, Nvidia GTX1060 and 16GB RAM for a good 5 years now.
The system is still adequate, but I would never buy a Dell again, I've already had a few bluescreens and most recently the SSD M.2 with OS broke and cost me a lot of time and nerves. In addition, the device is really cheaply made and the fans are also quite loud under load.

I'm thinking of ordering an Apple MacBook Air 13", M3 - 8 Core CPU / 10 Core GPU, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD due to the battery life and noise development, which is currently available for around €1550.
Alternatively, there is, for example, a Lenovo LOQ 15IRH8 15.6" WQHD i7-13620H 16GB/1TB SSD RTX 4060 Win11 for €1150, my budget is a maximum of €1600.
Do any of you have experience in terms of performance, is it even possible to compare them? Apart from size, battery life and noise - the Mac has a clear advantage in these areas...
Or does anyone have a recommendation for a notebook up to €1600?

Thank you in advance for your opinion,
      best regards
      Mo

@Macro You could go refurbished and pick up a deal.

I'd go with Windows because of the upgrade and repairability factor and better GPU options.

But any 40 series in a laptop is gonna make fan noise under load so don't expect less noise. Maybe just not as high in decibels.

For quiet under load you'd need a workstation type laptop. Try searching for a refurbed MSI

          Thank you very much, Rich!
I hadn't thought about MSI before - now I've ordered one, an MSI Stealth 15 A13VF-052.

I hope it's a good choice and I'll have to get used to the fan noise... πŸ˜‰

          Greetings Mo
