Make new face

I am using SU Pro 2023. When extruding say a circle if I wanted to make a new face I would simply hit ctrl+c now it is just ctrl. It does not work any more. Could somebody please let me know what the clowns from Sketchup have done with that make new face comand?

You don't need the c just tap ctrl and a small cross appears next to the pushpull tool, tap it again to turn it off.
