Icon / thumbnail issue

After installing and testing SU 2022, and then uninstalling, all my SU file icon have turned to just the block symbol and I cannot get them to revert back to thumbnails.
I have tried everything, including cleaning the Registry, but nothing has worked so far.
I have no doubt there is some thing telling Explorer to just show icons, but I cannot find it.
Yes, I have tried everything. Advanced tech support is what I do for living, so Porpeties of files and folder and re-enforcing program association has been done is several combinations and sequence, and still no joy.
Does anyone have any ideas? Despite the above steps taken, I still like I'm missing something. I have seen a an icon/thumbnail association so stubborn.
This is for Win 11 (basically still Win 10 under the hood).
