Grunge or not it's a great image Bryan. It's your image , your vision πŸ‘ . Curious if you can add grunge maps in Raylectron, I'm not at all familiar with it. Pretty easy to do in Twilight once you get the hang of it. Cool that you didn't have to worry with reversing faces, I'd have ended up with a lot of black squares everywhere. Again love the image πŸ‘

Having looked at the image for a while to come up with something to say, I shall stick to, That's a great render. Too often perhaps we look to add things that are not really there apart from some fancy ideal but Land Rover owners and classic car owners do the best we can to keep our charges 'right'.

I have been accused of being retentive because I refused top have the roof of my car painted in a check pattern. Well, they did not do that at VW.

Check this link for someone who shows this better than I can. The bloke in this has taught himself EVERYTHING. Bloody shame he is too far away or I'd pay him to fettle my Bess.

          Thanks again tuna!

Yes, Raylectron let's you apply grunge materials, but it comes with many, many preset materials, including amazing grungy ones, that I haven't even used half of! And once loaded, there are quite a few adjustments that can be after! I have yet to find a need to create one from scratch.

I'll wip up a sample of a few on an example model and post it.

            Thanks mike!

While I love textures as much as the next person, and truly admire those who are masters of them, sometimes it becomes too much.

I've always been somewhat of a contrarian, much to the consternation of many people. πŸ˜†

Not everything has to be worn. At the same time, not everything has to be perfectly new and shiny. πŸ˜‰

That guy who restores the old Land Rovers is amazing!

Nice render πŸ‘ The model has lots of "backfaces". What is your rendering engine, as many of them have problems with backfaces.

                  Thanks!

                  I use Raylectron.

When it comes to backfaces, I find a lot of models from the warehouse are like this. It's gotten to the point where I don't bother to fix it unless I have to. I'm usually having to fix geometry and back faces are the least of my worries.

                    Thanks,
I used to use a plugin from TIG, for these sorts of jobs, I do not remember its name though.
This is a great privilege and time saver pro of Raylectron. I think I tried it several years ago and put it apart at that time. It seems it has improved immensely. Grass generator also is a handy tool.

When I first used Raylectron, you still had to fix backfaces. That was, I think about 3 years ago. Now it has no problem.

A plug in that fixes backfaces? That is a genius tool! So many models from the Warehouse have this issue. I'll have to look for that.

Yes, the grass generator is very handy and does a great job. However, and it's just me, I could not figure it out for years. (like I said, just me, and my laptop. It's actually super simple to use but needs a lot of PC resources for larger areas)

                        Great to know,
I stumbled upon two plugins to fix reversed faces:
                        https://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=323&t=44551
                        and

But didn't find the old piece of code. ( I guess by TIG).
