Ever wonder what the strange old guy down the street is up to in his basement ?

Never worry about the 'strange' people, it's the the ones who seem to be just regular folks that you need to be wary of! Could the room be dark because of all the power being drained from the local grid to bring life to the machine?

A dreadful mistake with the ladder, the Health & Safety guys would be beside themselves (whilst totally ignoring the laser blasters). The ladder looks like the rungs should be closer together - 4 rungs. I know little or nothing about robots with WMD so will take it on trust that it complies with all the relevant codes.

Enjoyed the post, nice modelling and render!

Thanks everyone. Sometimes you just have to have fun with these things even if they make no sense. πŸ’š Might need to get Texas Dave on the animation ! Good eye shawb on the ladder, it's actually only 4' tall , suspect it's a little "fool the eye" thing due to a very low camera angle. None of you need to know some of the other ideas I kicked around for this or you would send the men in white coats and nets to get me πŸ’š !

Oh my god I've just realised I am that crazy old man.

          From your image.

If I am the one you are referring to, I will take that as a complement. However, I think you might have missed the last animation I posted on another thread (cannot post the reference from my iPad). I was trying to make a point but technically it was not correct (my leg and arm movements were not correct).

I can though imagine that robot trying to struggle his way out of the basement. πŸ˜† πŸ˜„

tuna, I think this is a really neat model. It does look a little dark but I really like it! πŸ‘ :thumb

OK, I think I figured out how to post the link on my iPad near the end of the thread

Yes Dave I was referring to you and definitely meant as a compliment. Your one of the few regulars it seems that works at the animation stuff. Your miles ahead of me with that kind of stuff I probably couldn't make a ball roll across the floor. As Box said it would be pretty funny to see it flopping about the floor at the bottom of the stairs.

Box , honest I had no idea you have a green grinder too ! Any reference to crazy people I can only apply to myself , I even have the doctors notes to prove it. πŸ’š

It's cool mate, the entry and exit are the other side of the basement with hanger doors anyway. How do I PM the robot that I have a job for him/it/her?...... πŸ‘
