Trouble with Curic Plugin SketchUp 2020
-
I am disappointed with Curic plugins in SketchUp 2020. From extension manager you are sent to a Gumroad page with no information other than an icon and price tag. My bad, I paid $99 for the Studio bundle because a video I saw for Curic Section showed a slider controller that looked to be the answer to my needs in a large project I am on and there were some positive reviews on the YouTube page.
After he installation (Windows 10 PC , SKU 2020) I find there is no slider. I further discovered that Curic has no way to be contacted for support other than either leaving messages in Facebook or comments on the YouTube page. The only reply I had was in YouTube asking what version SKU I was using but nothing after that.
Has anyone had a similar problem and found a path to customer support for a pricey plugin?
Thanks. -
OK just after my post, I did hear from CURIC on FB chat. There was a bug and he provided a Ruby script that solved the problem. Only had to run it once.
Pretty impressed. -
Yeah. I'm using the Rotate Tool and not very impressed.
Works fine for simple 90 degree rotations, but the 2 methods for inputting rotation data don't even exist.
There is supposed to be a contextual menu, which would allow input... nothing.
Also, a "Curic Length Snapping toolbar". This consists of the icon for activating the tool, but nothing else. Pretty piss poor implementation, and QC.
I've contacted them via the FB page chat.
We'll see if anyt5hing gets done to remedy the problems.Rico
