Need Graphics Advice
-
I don't use modern navigation programs on a tablet or similar, so I take a screen shot of Google Maps, and print out these maps when I'm going somewhere, problem is I loose all the detail when printing.
what is it I should be adjusting before printing to be able to see the map better? Is it just the contrast? My printer doesn't have any adjustments I can find so I'd be doing this in a photo editor.

Hi Joe - also I have difficulty recognizing the maps from Google. So, when I do trip preparations in your way, instead Google Maps I usually use openstreetmap.org since the maps there are graphically done a little better (at least for me). Additionally I make comments with the free tool "Greenshot" like faked below which I can recommend to you...

That looks good Horn,
do I need to sign up to use the maps?
-
No good for me Hornie, Ich bin Vegetarier.
-
Hi Joe, no you don't need to sign up there.
Hi Box - only for You

Perfect.

what does dinkelfrikadellen mean! My translator doen't translate it!
-
Frikadellen is the German word for meatballs(?), similar to hamburger pattys, but thicker and somewhat rounder - hmmm, very tasty for non-vegetarians. Dinkel is a type of grain and the typical cereal here, which forms the clichΓ© for vegetarian food here which is not true of course
So, for non-vegetarians using "Dinkel-" in front of:
-Hamgurger
-Steak
-Sausage etc. etc
always describes the vegetarian variant here, even when Dinkel (spelt?) is not in the play -
I learn so much here
so what adjustment would be best for the image I first posted?? Just the contrast? Sorry I'm not really a graphics person.
-
... sorry
for me it is ok for printing as it is - but yes, increasing the contrast is not wrong, especially if the note is lying on the passenger seat...

Thanks guys! I have another question, can I export vector from SUp? I don't really know what vector is. I think a dwg or dxf are vector files?
-
Darn, I can't export dwg or dxf now, makes SUp 2015 crash! I used to be able to export dxf, any ideas why this image as a dxf is crashing? I have it set for Hidden Line? Darn!
-
OK I was able to export eps files which my client can use.
I can export this 1st image as a dxf, but the 2nd causes the splat. Would anyone have any ideas why this happens? Please excuse my questions!
EDIT- I thought it might be all the text in the 2nd image so I hid it, but still got the dreaded splat!
