Hi Mike, a suggestion, can you play with Depth of field to blurr the forground? Say centre of focus on the nearest part of the chair. Say an aperture of about as a guess 3.5?

Next move for a render but I am being put off by the 10+ hours this one took.

Like the start you have on this. Just wondering what is the material set up on the outside wall? Seems to have way to much reflection going on ? Good job none the less.

Thanks, it's not a flat texture and there are reeds in the water reclamation 'terraces' which I think is creating a diffuse quality to the shadow on the wall.
I have rather nasty sinusitis at the moment so everything takes a bit longer to sink in, ?thinking? of a few physical changes to the model too. Lily pond perhaps.

Thanks for the pointers, always glad to get those.

Hi Mike I think the wall texture is just too big. I think if you reduce the size (a lot) It will be OK, by reducing the texture size say to 10 percent at least, of what it is now?

It's a good start Mike i'd work on the details, the window would help with a reflection of your terracing.

I had a quick sketch, with your terraced courtyard idea.

Thanks Simon, I prefer yours, there is a problem with the model somewhere. I purge the model but it does not stop so I will have to start again. That's life.
