Array Along Complex Path with Equal, "Unspecified" Divisions
-
I am familiar with Pathcopy and the similar array tool in JHS Powerbar, but I can't seem to find a plugin that allows for creating arrays along complex paths (paths other than lines and circles or portions of circles) by USING EQUAL DIVISIONS RATHER THAN ENTERING A SPECIFIC DIMENSION FOR THE SPACES BETWEEN OBJECTS.
This is how the move tool works with lines and the way the rotate tool works with circles: you move or rotate with ctrl (windows), position the copied object at the destination, hit " / " (forward slash), and then enter the number of spaces in between. With Pathcopy, JHS Powerbar and others, arrays are created, but by virtue of their requiring you to enter specific dimensions for spaces in between, you end up with no object at the endpoint of the path (unless by rare coincidence).
This would be very useful for the specific kind of architectural modeling I have to do on a daily basis, especially for stair spindles. It would be additionally helpful if such a plugin worked for compound curves (bending in X, Y and Z axes, like a spiral stair).
Does anyone know if such a plugin exists? Thanks!

You can create an equal division with the BezierSpline Plugin (Fredo6) e.g..
