              This table reminds me of a desk and chair at my local US Post Office.
              Mainly the chair, as it has the stretchers only about a quarter of an inch from the floor. (makes it unusual to me anyway)
              And maybe I just haven’t seen it very often, I see the stretchers on this table on the floor. (assuming I am using “stretcher” properly)

                As for the stretchers on the floor, it is an odd thing. This piece was made that way or maybe they dragged the table around enough over the years to wear the legs down. 😄 I don't think I'd build the table with the stretchers right down on the floor like this because it would accentuate an uneven floor. But that's the way the original was made so that's what I drew.

                And stretcher is indeed the correct word.
