        I tried it a year or so ago and found it very sluggish to use. Lots of spinning cursor time.

        I think Painter trumps it because you can work in 1/2k then export to 4/8k. Speedy while working and killer output.

          OK, so after watching the rest of that video I see big improvements to Quixel.

          Smart material presets and up res'ing of textures.

          Only negative I see is that you need Photoshop. Other than that it's pretty cool!

            At the same time it's a strength as it uses a lot of Photoshop features and those have become intuitive for many users.

            I think one of the strengths in Painter is actually designer though and the fast paced development rate and growth of resources.

            Both of them have weaknesses for Sketchup users as, UV unwrapping is still hard in SU. WrapR will eventually close that weakness in the future... I have high hopes for it.

              Yeah, I found it somewhat laggy, too. Still, not a bad app. I like Painter better, though. I have been messing with it since this morning, and I must say, it's been a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Good stuff.
