I'm new to Sketch Up and would like to know how I can export a simple interior Sketch Up scene I've made back into Maya as an obj, but with each grouped element separate, and not all "fused together" as one mesh. So far I've downloaded and installed the obj exporter from this site and installed into the Sketch Up Library/Plugins folder, restarted SU and exported as an obj. When it opens in Maya, the room scene is still fused together and also does not contain the assorted colors or textures I assigned, but the props from 3D warehouse are there . I'm using SU Pro trial version, and do not see a plug ins Menu at the top, so perhaps thats the reason?
I grouped the various elements together in SU, hoping they would stay grouped and separate in Maya for ease of re-texturing or coloring.
      Thank you for any help
