Germany's got other great cars...
-
Looking good!

Thanks for the model link here is my quick try:
-
It's nice too.

Great renders. The VW color looks different than what was available in US, I think. I like the old green colors that came in Euro cars in those days. We had a Peuguot (and of course multiple VW's over the years) We also had late 60's Opel. I don't see any renders of those. Is that last render the same car as the first. Looks like a great model too. Wonder if it was created in SketchUp.

yes here's the wireframe:

Wow! That looks really good!

How about a challenge Jo, try for a type 3 Variant? Preferably the later high nose version as they are rarer than hens teeth but whatever.

light and material are really fine.. if it were me doing the rendering job, I would prefer more metallic sense on rings.....
May I share some opinion please to improve the job?
A higher poly car may help ( you also might improve it using sbd plugin inside sketchup or if you are familiar, use blender3D to improve the current model), or one might try this one: https://archive3d.net/?a=download&id=8c488f86
And it seems that the pavement pattern lighting does not match the current sun position so seems odd to me.
Ps. I cleaned up another car in blender3D and here is the model: https://ufile.io/lz3gw
Here is also a Benz model in Blender I've tweaked a bit: https://ufile.io/rjmua
