A little more than a year ago, I modeled these stacking tables by the noted Finnish architect Alvar Aalto. Couldn't get much simpler: Three legs screwed to a top. But the model seems to have struck a chord on the 3D Warehouse. It's been liked 211 times, downloaded 42,901 times, and viewed 108,405 times. None of my other models comes close to that level of popularity. I usually don't blow my own horn this way, but I have to admit I'm very pleasantly surprised by the model's reception. Of course, that probably has more to do with the original and its designer than with the modeler.

Hi David
I think I've probably downloaded these at some point. I'm always blown away by the number of downloads some of my models have and often think...wouldn't it be pleasant if you got a $1 for every download. I'd retire now and just post models all day and check the bank balance once a week.
Congratulations on your popular appeal. -
Thank you for the good words, and for downloading the model.
Best,

Congratulations. No disrespect at all intended, but at a different scale they remind me of the little plastic things that come in pizza boxes

Congrats David

Good spotting, mrossk. There's definitely a family resemblance.

... and btw, without your willingness to share models in the 3DW, this success would not have become visible at all - so your success is fully justified: Congratulations!!!
Perhaps these are the "good", "simple" and "pure" things that are popular (like your chair). Once I posted a simple supermarket paper bag there and was and still am amazed, that this was successful...thanks & keep posting models

Thanks, HornOxx. Take a look at the new posting.

Congratulations!
