    Hi everybody :

I downloaded, from 3D Warehouse, a wooden lounger. It downloaded as part of a group (other parts were downloaded with it). I deleted the unwanted objects. And selected the lounger as just one object. I selected the entire lounger.....with the intent of making it a component. But.......when I was done making this into a component, there was a LARGE (excuse me if my terminology is incorrect) bounding box around it. When I imported this lounger into my project....this LARGE bounding box was included. How to I correct this problem ?

                                                 Thanks

        pilou :

In other words....select the ENTIRE "grouping (including the objects I don't want), Click EXPLODE. Then select the one I DO want. After that, the objects the I don't want I can simply delete ?

switch on hidden lines / geometry, most likely something that has been hidden

As juju say, there's most likely something left behind in that far empty corner. It might not even be hidden, it might be a tiny, almost invisible line stub. Just open the group, sweep Select from left to right from the lounger to clear over that area (with Hidden Geometry on, just in case it's hidden) and hit Delete...then see if the bounding box snaps closer to the lounger.
