Problems with polygons

I just downloaded and began to use SU2015. I cannot make a circle or other polygon. I did just what I did in earlier versions, but when I click to change the diameter, it disappears. Is there a setting I need to change?

Firstly, if you are starting with something new, why aren't you using 2016?
Secondly, what do you mean when you say click to change diameter? What do you click and what disappears? -

Check your model units?
