      Hi everybody :

This is a space that has two purposes. One is a Living Room. And the other is just a "conversation" room.

That carpet is too 'loud', it screams in what is meant to be a relaxed atmosphere also the television is too large, consider using a projector type device that would be more in keeping with that size screen and would mean a roll up screen that can be put away when not in use. A smaller standard tv set would be suitable for everyday viewing of news reports etc.

Got to agree with Mike Amos. , carpet is waaaay to loud. If this is an imaginative space and your not duplicating a real space here's a few things I'd try. Call it the movie room. Knock an entry into the space upper level left side. Create more cozy seating arrangements on upper level. Think of it as a place to have a quiet drink and read or chat with a few friends. The upper level seating has a real commercial look to it . Down in the theater area get the seating out into the room more. Maybe add a wet or dry bar on the left side. At least some nice wall units maybe. Just some suggestions. Think you have something good started that with some tweaking could look really cool.

Is that a pool table embedded in the wall on the right of the first picture?

Sorry about the misunderstanding. That's a large projection TV.
