Applying lattice/fin on a uneven dome structure

Hi everyone,
As the title suggests, I'm having a bit of trouble trying to apply a lattice design on a building facade. You can see the pictures below.
I hope to make the outside resemble something like this :
but at the moment...I'm completely stuck on how to apply it on this curvy surface!! Any suggestions (or plugins that can help me solve this issue) would be greatly appreciated!! -

Please pardon my ignorance but...I seem to be getting errors that say "input error: not enough input".
Does the dome need to be broken up as (maybe) two separate segments for flowify to work? What are the appropriate steps I need to do in order to make this effect (again, please pardon my ignorance I'm very new to sketchup)
