FerrariSketch creating Shading sails

Hi there,
I use FerrariSketch (http://en.sergeferrari.com/serge-ferrari-sketch-2/). It's a great peace of software to create all sorts of hypers, tents, I love it! I use it especialy for Hypar shader sails.
The only problem. It works on Sketchup 8 or lower...
I've got 2 questions:
1: is there an alternative that's even better and more easy than this?
2: can someone rewrite the code so Sketchup 2016 can read it?I hope you can help me out,
