ok so I am currently making a chair and I have ran into a problem after extensively using thom thoms solid inspector2 and solid inspector everything has come up shiny 😎

but the problem is that in the entity properties dialog it doesn't show it as a solid.

ive looked over it a lot now and I guess I need a fresh pair of eyes to take a gander at it and hopefully let me know whats goin down in sketch-mo-town.

You could break this down into sections and get each section to become a solid. Then put it back together.

Also it appears you could work on half the chair back and then mirror it and bring the 2 halves together. Might simplify the problem a bit.

You've got some problems in the model that Solid inspector wont find. When two sections come together and share an edge SU won't see it as a solid.

In some places you have draw it to flow through and others just butt together. You need to find and fix those parts.

And as Gary says, you can make it easier on yourself by only modeling half and mirroring it.

thanks yeah I kept cleaning it up to no avail I was making the lines and edges look cleaner but I was shooting myself in the foot because I kept giving edges more than 3 faces, but all is well now thanks for the reply.

moral of the story ..... Only an Edge can make you make a face....
