      Good evening all.

      I do know that it continues to be rude to seek modification commands as exact as AutoCAD but in this instance I would be very grateful for a workaround or plugin possibility that might replicate this AutoCAD command:

      within AutoCAD

      command: SCALE

      select object/s,
      select object > SCALE
      select object ...

      Then the (Ideal) command-line query is;

      "Specify base point"

      then we want to type in 'R' (for 'reference' as opposed to 'C' for 'copy')
      then we get to specify reference length. Not always what we want:

      ... And now here's the thing, we get to specify in model space, with this command, the new reference length with The Select Tool: (please bear with me.)

      Ie, we get to 'click' on two base points, then a third, which indicates an exact proposed scale using these points as reference, and then our selected parts of the model will scale to this. As opposed to an exact numerical length that we have calculated and 'typed in' to the command line.

      So, our SCALE command has been 'manually' selected to points using only the select tool.

      Forgive me for any perceived naïvety, but this is the one remaining issue we cannot resolve here.

      I'd like to 'tag'

      Because if a sketchup plugin for this doesn't yet exist, perhaps one of these gentlemen can make it.

      We look forward to your responses.

      Thanks all,

      Sandy
