Hi, i wish that in future updates, the team will help improves Sketchup's capability to import lines properly, the way it was drawn in CAD. Most of the curve lines becomes segmented after import, thus not only breaking the closed connection with other lines, but misrepresenting what was originally drawn.
I hope this simple flaw will be addressed in future updates. Please see attached screenshot.

Thank you and more power to you awesome Sketchup programmer and developers! πŸ˜‰

I agree. Perhaps an option to display curves at higher or lower accuracy with increased number of line segments.

Sketchup only has line segments to work with. I don't know what sort of ACAD element those ellipses are but that looks like the worse import. Perhaps you could explode them to segments within ACAD. Even with many segments you will not have the full accuracy or get the correct intersections in SU, but that's the best you are likely to get from SketchUp now or later.

Thanks for the tip, I will try and compare the result.

          UPDATE:
I tried exploding in CAD first and it improved. Not that smooth though, but at least not as roughly segmented as before.

Right click the line - entity info - then change segments to smooth out the curve

I think SU defaults at 24 segments, but if you increase this it will smooth out πŸ˜„
