      coppola table.jpg
Saw this intriguing dining table on the 1stdibs.com web site. The original was designed by Silvio Coppola for the Bernini company in 1960 or thereabouts. Looks as if it will seat six. The original has a pair of removable, square ceramic bowls that fit in the center of the center top board. Coppola also designed a breakfront to go with the table. I think that's my next modeling challenge.

Nice work. I saw that table and wondered how it sits with a crowd. Maybe for six.

Thanks, Dave. Yes, I'll bet the table will seat six. The designer has a similar table with pull-out leaves that will probably seat eight.

Hard to be certain due to perspective, but the legs look like knee-clonkers to me! Nice model and render, though.

Thanks, slbaumgartner. There's a 12-in. overhang at the ends, and 37 in. between legs on the sides, so you could squeeze in 6 people. Otherwise, you're right: The table legs would get in the way.
