                  Realworld endgrain will not usually be exactly 90D to the boards, quarter sawn boards, (best for tops) would be up to 45D off and woauld alternate between planks.

                      Excellent work mate!!! The end grain does stand out, but only as we are all render artists, otherwsie we wouldn't look for such details.
