Cross Referencing for Detail Views

Is there any way to cross reference (that auto updates) another page in Layout in a Detail Views Label. The idea is that I could drag a Detail label from the sketchbook and tell it to reference X page or even Y view on X page. If I insert another page in front of the page with the detail view on it then Layout would automatically update the page number for that detail label.
I searched the forums for the answer but the closest thing I found was;

I am just going to assume that the answer is no. I was really hoping for someone to have a brilliant simple solution that I didn't know about. Bummer
