Inserting Window and Doors
-
Hi everybody :
I'm in the "Intermediate" class....trying to learn more about inserting window/door components into a single or double faced surface. I simply drew a square. Pulled it a little. Then I imported a window that I created. Made it a component. Checked the "Glue to" box.....to "any". Clicked the "create opening" box. Left the Replace component bot checked. But, when I went to insert it into the desired location, it wouldn't cut the opening. But, the door component from the Architecture Library (3D Warehouse) cut the opening soon as I placed. What's the difference between the premade window (3D Warehouse) and the window I created. Obviously, I'm doing SOMETHING wrong....but what ? garystan -
it would be handy if you attached both files...
avoids the guessing game...
