Thank you. I've used some images from the web and TIGs ImageTrimmer. They had a bad resolution, so you can see the pixels in the model... and you thought I modeles the saw marks? πŸ˜‰

So most time was used to position the parts in the 3D space... πŸ˜’

            Cool! β˜€

Have you take a look to this 123D MAKE ?

Maybe the process SU --> MeshMixer --> 123D MAKE --> SU can be cool ? πŸ˜‰

For the last year I have worked in this field, and I thought you did a pretty well job, but then I searched around and I have found out that this design is quite spread around the markets. That doesn't make your project easier though, or less attractive. πŸ‘
I am using bezier curves to follow the shapes though ! And yes, placing them back is a pain as you usually need to redraw most of the parts, especially where they join,if you want to make it buildable.

PS Have you tried to simplify the contours with Curvizard? I believe that could help you get rid of the raw edges.

Yes, but the edges were too bad and I don't want to spend more time than one evening for the whole model...

Personally I think laser cut with the pixelation would look great.
