Lovely ! Modeled from scratch ?

Thank you. I've used some images from the web and TIGs ImageTrimmer. They had a bad resolution, so you can see the pixels in the model... and you thought I modeles the saw marks?

So most time was used to position the parts in the 3D space...

Cool!

Have you take a look to this 123D MAKE ?
Maybe the process SU --> MeshMixer --> 123D MAKE --> SU can be cool ?

For the last year I have worked in this field, and I thought you did a pretty well job, but then I searched around and I have found out that this design is quite spread around the markets. That doesn't make your project easier though, or less attractive.

I am using bezier curves to follow the shapes though ! And yes, placing them back is a pain as you usually need to redraw most of the parts, especially where they join,if you want to make it buildable.PS Have you tried to simplify the contours with Curvizard? I believe that could help you get rid of the raw edges.

Yes, but the edges were too bad and I don't want to spend more time than one evening for the whole model...

Personally I think laser cut with the pixelation would look great.

Very cool!
