I'm looking for a plugin that makes three dimensional screen pool enclosures based on a 2D shape. The aluminum structure needs to be in three dimensions. The screens can be a simple face with a translucent texture. Basically I'm looking for a way to make a box with a mansard roof, and then add the aluminum enclosure structure. Alternatively, I would appreciate any similar plugins or modeling tips to make this chore efficient.

I would also consider hiring someone to develop a dynamic component or Plugin for Sketchup 2015 if I could get something that fits my needs 90%+. Attached is an example of what I am trying to accomplish quickly when adding a pool cage to a home in my Sketchup models. The challenge is really the aluminum cage, which must by in 3D for rendering purposes, and has to be adaptable to a variety of shapes. Some cages are L-shaped as they go around a corner of the house. I would accept something that just attaches to the eaves of the house and along a modeled path either on the ground or at eave height.

Having worked for several days to create such a plugin, I'm not surprised that there hasn't been a single response to your post. I'm up to the eave line with yet a bug or two to work out.

        Just wanted you to know.

Nothing is worthless, it can always be used as a bad example.

You can have a look at TIGs "Latticeizer", "Lattice maker" or "EEbF" (Extrude Edges by Face) plugins too.
