Uninstall an exension

How would one off-load an extension that was poorly installed. I have profile builder but the profile thumbnails don't show up. I want to re-install it with the correct rbz extension thru the plugins store, and have done so, but it doesn't fix the problem. I think i need to completely remove the plugin and then re-install. Not sure how to do that. I can't just delete the folders, right?

You shouldn't need to uninstall it but if you really want to, go to your plugin folder and delete the Folder named with Profile builder and the .rb that is named with profile builder, the will both have something else in the name, from memory I think it's DM_ but on phone and can't check.
But the missing thumbnail was fixed way back when 2013 was new. Go to Smustard and download the fixed version from there and install it. I'm not sure that the plugin store one has been updated.

thanks. I have the latest from Smustard, but It wasn't working , but I will just give the "rip out all the cords" try and see what that does.
