      Hi,

I've started using Maxwell for Sketchup with a standalone license. I'm really impressed with the easy of use - I use "high end" software, Revit, 3Ds Max Vray etc - The workflow modelling/turnover for getting great result is really fast UNTIL it's time to render, which can be quite slow.

Does anyone know of an online Render Farm that is providing support of SketchUp file using Maxwell Render for SketchUp? I've used Maxwell Studio, but I'm not going to buy if for this.

In summary, is there a render farm with Maxwell for SketchUp standalone license support?

      Thanks

Hi there, I use Maxwell Render with SketchUp (I have the Maxwell Render suite) and when I have tight deadlines I use Rebus. https://www.rebusfarm.net/en/

On average, the renders are completed in approx. 10 mins (usually 20 SL). But this time frame can decrease or increase depending on other jobs in the queue.

        Hope this helps.

          Hi Anita,

Thanks for the reply. I've been looking into a few of the render farms Rebus seem the best so far. I'm hoping Next Limit will include a "send to cloud" option in the future with the Standalone. I freelance with offices that have the full suite and am familiar with the system.

To be honest the Standalone is fantastic for exteriors, getting up to high SL is much easy. As always interiors are the killer...

I'm curious, how much -roughly- would you say a full clear SL20 interior costs on Rebus?

          Thanks!

Haha, yea interiors are a killer! But then, I try to do what I can to reduce render time - there are lots of things you can do to try and minimise this, like not using full RGB levels (white for example, I use 230 RGB and not 255). I try to keep reflective surfaces to a minimum and restrict the number of individual emitters (using multi-light and having a lot of emitter settings increases render time) but sometimes this isn't possible.

On average, for an interior that has many different textures/reflective surfaces and emitters (and individual components), it's approx £20 to render 1 image to 20 SL.
