Hi. I have downloaded SU 2014 and installed it without any issues.
I also DLed Sketchyphysics (SP) from a link provided on this site.

      I DLed both versions SketchyPhysics_3.5.5 and SketchyPhysics3RC1-MacAndWin.

I extracted the files to the 'plugins' folder that I created in SU folder, one version of SP at a time.

The SP tools don't show up when I open SU. I look for them in View/Tools. But they are not there.

What am I doing wrong? Please help!

      Saeid

The new SP comes in an RBZ archive http://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=SketchyPhysics
In SketchUp versions since v8 you install the contents of that archive using the simple auto-installer Preferences > Extensions > Install... button

What made you think you needed a Plugins folder within the main v2014 SketchUp folder !!!???
Since v2014 your Plugins are automatically installed from RBZ archives, and thereafter their files auto-loaded whenever SketchUp starts.
The location of these is your User's Plugins folder.
To find where that is, copy/paste+<enter> this string into the Ruby Console...
        Sketchup.find_support_file('Plugins')
        It should be like this:
        C:/Users/YOURUSERNAME/AppData/Roaming/SketchUp/SketchUp 2014/SketchUp/Plugins
You do not normally need to access this folder as the installations are automatically processed for you.

After you install SP properly, please remove the useless and unnecessary Plugins folder which you had erroneously made in the SketchUp main folder !
Its contents will NOT be used.

When it is eventually properly installed you'll find SP in:
(Menu) Plugins β†’ SketchyPhysics β†’ options
and there is also the equivalent SP Toolbar...
It is not under View or Tools as you also erroneously thought...
Please read up on how to use this tool - clearly you have already misunderstood its installation and then its menu usage...
It's main thread is here http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=61%26amp;t=58936#p536443 with secondary links etc...

Also only have the latest version of SP installed - do NOT get the old one - the latest version is best for v2014.

TIG, thank you so much for your elaborate reply. It's late night and my brain is not functioning properly. I will do as you recommended tomorrow.

To answer why I made a 'plugins' folder, every time I tried to install SP, I got an error, saying something to the effect of 'plugins folder where the contents of the installer needs to go does not exist'

          Thanks again,
          Saeid
