Sketchup 2014 doesn't save

Hello,
I've tried to install (and reinstall) Sketchup 2014 several times and always run into the same problem. The program runs perfectly until I try to save my file. When I do this, Sketchup stops responding and crashes. Does anyone have the same experience or a solution? Thank you very much.

One thing you could try for starters,
go to Window/Model Info/File and untick the box that says Redefine Thumbnail on save.
If you are then able to save it is most likely a graphic card issue. -
You're right. When I untick the checkbox, it saves and reopens without any problems. Does this mean that my graphic card isn't compatible or not goed enough?

I don't have an answer for that. It seems that some graphic cards have this problem. Fairly random from what I have read.
You can try updating the Card drivers, that may eventually fix it if not straight away.
You mention it's 2014 you are using, perhaps you'll have better luck with 2015. -

I have updated the driver of my graphic card, but it doesn't seem to have any effect. For now, I’ll just uncheck the “Redefine thumbnail on save” box.
Does it have any influence on the performance of sketchup?

Sorry, again I have no idea if it affects anything else. I just remembered that thumbnails can cause problems in rare cases.

Actually, redefining thumbnail on save has an effect on performance. If you have autosave setup, it's remaking a thumbnail every time it saves. On some systems, probably lower ones, it can slow down workflow when autosave initializes.
