Until they incorporate that into the component browser (which would be sensible) you could always use a 'keep on top' utility to keep the explorer window always available.
I have one from years ago that still works called turbo top, it sits in the taskbar and lets me select any window to stay on top.
I'm sure there are many others with more bells and whistles, a quick google for keep on top or something like that will no doubt find a plethora. -
Mystic thumbs will give you thumbnails for tons of files that Windows normally would not. SU5,6,7,8,etc.
