HISTORY IN 3D
-
Hello to everyone!
Let me present works of our creative team "History in 3D", which are related with historical reconstruction. You already had the ability to see some of them in topic about "All Ancient Rome models from 3DWarehouse together":
http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=81%26amp;t=23042Here I want to present other and new our works, modelled and designed in Sketchup. Today it will be our latest project - ancient Corinth reconstruction.
Looking forward your comments! And to be continued
Short information:
Reconstruction of ancient Corinth city as it was in II century AD, in Roman Empire ages. It contains the whole city, the central part with Agora, temple of Apollon, theatre and Odeon, and also hippodrome, gymnasium, temple of Asclepius and amphitheatre. Near the city is Acrocorinth mountain with fortress and temples. -
I like it. You describe it very good, so one could feel it. I would like to live in the city like this.

Wow
I can appreciate the amount of work that the team must have put into producing this, very smooth animation.John
-
By the way, what software did you use?
-
Looks like Lumion...
-
Very nice and smooth animation and modeling!
-
srx, Krisidious
Yes, it's Sketchup+Lumioncotty
Thanks! -
Wonderful. Wonderful!!
Impressive development of the grades and connecting paths and stairways as well.
It would be great to see a typical little building model to see the standard level of detail and modeling approach.
Thanks for sharing!

Spectacular...!!
A few disturbing things like the red "flares" coming from the flames, which distract a bit...
Also the birds seem to be flying into the walls. But all in all a great animation...! Bravo...!!

Very cool, Danila.
I like it a lot. It reminds me of some Roman/Greek architecture I did for a MMO video game (Gods and Heroes - Rome Rising) I worked on years ago.
Lumion3D is expensive, but it is quite the perfect program for this kind of animation.
Cheers!

Amazing!
I love ancient buildings. Bad thing they're not built there days.
-
Gigantic work. Impressive result. What is the goal your team intended with the model?
-
Just awsome!
The haze in the opening scene was nice, and the music added to the overall setting.
My only nitpics are the repeating grass pattern in the opening scene, and all the people seemed to be wearing the same white clothing (but for all I know that's what they did back then )
I can't even begin to imagine the amount of work that went into this. Must have been a true labor of love.

Wow!
Amazing work!
-
Fantastic, something special there. Thanks for showing it to us.

Thanks to all for your replies!
Yes, video contains some defects, but I think we'll eliminate them in future versions of this and a number of other buildings
Answering for question about the goals: our team is working with any reconstructions and cooperating with all who is interested in the historical 3D reconstructions. At the moment several big and a number of small reconstructions were built up, and I'm planning to post some of them here in a soon time. Also we are open for new projects and suggestions
By the way, I hope to present the new video reconstruction in a few weeks, just before New Year -
Amazing work, Danik. And looking forward to your next video.

A short preview of the next large video, I think that somebody who is skilled in history could even discover what city it will be
-
Corinthe again?
