      Greetings everyone, Titan here.

      I have a little inquiry.

      I have a bunch of 3D models in sketchup, and am trying to figure an effective manner to make .gif turn around animations.

      For example, I would like to take such model:
      http://madcomm.deviantart.com/art/Air-Siege-Unit-471222238
      And be able to upload a gif image, where the model would slowly be spinning around.

      Is there any form of plugins which can help me in this task, for example, a plugin which rotates the camera around a specific angle (e.g. 5 rad), exports a 2D image, and does as such until it reaches 360 degrees?

      Once the images are gathered, making a .gif of these would be easy.

      Thank you so much for your time πŸ˜„

        It's quite easy without any plugins necessary.
        Simply create some scenes and export the animation as images, then put the images together in the gif maker of your choice.

        The one below is just a quick example and is a clunky as it gets. You can make it as smooth as you like and as detailed as you want.

            I think Box used this technique:

                That's a bit more accurate than what I did, mine is just 3 scenes, Front, Back and Left. Which is enough to make it spin. Hence why I said it's as clunky as you get.

                Titan, you profile says advanced which is why I didn't bother with any detail in my post. If that isn't the case you should change it because people give different answers depending on skill level.

                  I'm sorry about that. Animation within sketchup is the only thing, alongside making plugins, which I haven't touched extensively in sketchup ^^;

                    That's fair, it was just a bit confusing, your "Noobyness" comment suggested that you may have simply downloaded the models and therefore had no real understanding of sketchup, rather than just a gap in your knowledge.
