SUPro8 ADD LOCATION FAILURE

Running Lion OSX pro 8. I have updated the .dat file reference but cannot add location. after selecting and grabbing a region I get a dead window of the google earth picture.
Possible issue is eplus was loaded, then deleted but every time I save there is a background process wanting to generate *.idf file. -
