This looks awesome! I'd find this extremely useful.

Couldn't decipher how Through the Wall works exactly.

I think it is not a scan through walls (something like an x-ray camera app ) but an augmented reality app, that can show you hidden elements like electric cables etc. - but these have to be build in 3D before you can blend them over the realtime camera view.

Close, it uses as-built info that was collected during construction. We do these types of as-builts all the time, guess it would be handy at the project years after it has been completed and not opening up CAD.
From Trimble
"Through-the-Wall gives building operators the ability to see what's behind the wall, integrating Tango's integrated spatial tracking capabilities and mapping support with geospatially tagged Building Information Models ("BIM") and other sources of as-built model data describing the building's infrastructure. Tango's tracking stability keeps models from 'jittering' in the view, a problem typically experienced with other Augmented Reality platforms. Additionally, Tango's sparse mapping allows users to populate large areas with highly accurate models without need of optical targets or other reference points." -

Indeed very interesting...
I'm curious to know if it can handle a corner that isn't 90 degree angle...I'm using the Ridgid LM-400 Laser Distance Meter Measure and have the Rigid Sketch installed on my android phone, however, as soon as I have an angle, which isn't 90 degree, it screw things up completely...
I also wonder why it doesn't use a camera to texture the 3D model, but I assume it's something that will come in the future...?!?

Yeah I signed up about 2 months ago, no word yet.
