Sketchup 8 and rbz files don't work

I want to add plugins to sketchup but rbz files won't work in sketchup 8.
Is there a way to install them with another program. I installed them manually and they don't work. Give me options, if any. -
You need version 8 M2 or above to be able to install rbz-plugins...

You did not indicate whether you had tried Window>
Preferences>Extensionsand selected theInstall Extensionsbutton...
Another way:
RBZ is a form of zip file. You can actually rename the file extension to ".zip" in windows and unzip it to the Sketchup 8 Plugins subfolder. Let the plugin/extension deploy its script and any attendant folders.
That is, unless something has changed for Sketchup8?
EDIT: and I didn't see Cotty's reply. That is very possibly the issue. -

The preferred way is as Cotty suggested. But the other way should work. You really should check for the M2 update:
