    Hey everybody,

I'm looking for a quick way to get a negative shape from a solid model in wooden beams.
I have made a dynamic component of a beam, it can be scaled to any volume and fills it with wooden beams.
My idea was to import a solid model of which I need a negative mould, lay out a row of beams over the model with DC and than subtract/split the two, leaving me with the negative shape in beams.
A DC is preferred because the imported models all differ in length and size.
I've attached an image of the situation. On the right is the negative in beams. This however was done by copying beams and then splitting each individual beam which is time consuming.

Anyone who's familiar with subtracting from a dynamic component? Or is there another effective way to get the negative shape in beams without having to individually split 100 beams?

    Thanks,

    Thomas
