World cup 2014

What a great World Cup this is.....many high scoring, attacking matches....just what spectators love to see
....and some big names outed from the competition already.
I'll be glad when its over though....I look forward to getting to bed at a reasonable hour...!!

Netherlands against Mexico, and then we meet the winner of Costa Rico-Greece. Looks like an easy way to the semi finals
and
-
Great win by Argentina but take the little master out of play and Papua New Guinea would beat them....
BTW, has anyone tried modelling the trophy? Would need something like Tgi3D or something I guess..
-
When the world cup started van Gaal decided to play with the 5-3-2 system instead op the normal dutch system 4-3-3. Everyone asked us why the new system.
We know now why.
-
We believe in God, and he gave us van Persie. But look de body en the print off mexico, thet are the same shape!!!

With both games in progress, Ghana briefly seemed on the verge of breaking the hearts of U.S. players and fans yet again

Brazil are unimpressive, very lucky to progress. I cannot see them winning this thing.
Looking forward to Netherlands vs Mexico game, should be a zinger.

We (the Netherlands) never lose from Mexico after 1961, so normaly we go to the next round.
We are building lots of big screen to see the game. The whole country os watching
And after 13 juli we will have the trophy, because Brazil is to weak to win the cup.

Rio has a new god

That was a close one, Robben is by far the most skillful diver.
-
Marques did step on his foot.
But yes. His simulation is world class.
Deserves the win though.
-
Two zingers one after each other, Pete. Costa Rica V Greece was a clanger!
-
France vs Nigeria, I would say France has this but they are one of those teams that if their breakfast was not great their whole day is ruined and they suck, so let's see what French team turns up, if it's the good one then expect a spanking.
Germany vs Algeria, I'd like to say this is a no brainer but cannot, the Germans have a ton of talented players yet they are just not being used right, Lahm is playing midfield and not in his real position of RB as an example, the defense is shaky, too much passing/possession and not enough attempts at goal. Good luck Germany, I still have you favorites to win it all.
-
Tough luck on the USA. They put up a great fight in the last 20min of extra time. With some luck it might have gone to penalties ....... I like penalty shoot outs
-
We won! Go Belgium! That Tim Howard, though -great keeper.
-
I think the final is Netherlands - Germany
But first we must deal with Costa Rica (no problem) and Argentina. Our King (Netherlands from birth) and Queen (Argentina from birth) must have a good night for one off them.
But Willem the great should be the winner!!! -
I keep my fingers crossed for Netherlands... We don't need sb.
( When it comes to final we are jumpy and not ourselves. )
But let's hope -
28000 people in the USA.
In Holland are looking 8 miljon people the match, at home or in a local pub. But also on televisions on the offices.
Here a picture from the party after the second place in 2010. Perhaps this year the first place.
