GEOLOCATION OF A 3D MODEL

Hello,
i created a 3d model and i wanted to geolocate it. I did it through the programm, using the google earth image, but is really inaccurate compared to a background i used at autoCAD. my question is, does sketchup support any other way of geolocation?
i tried to insert a geotiff image and a jpeg2000 image that were already geolocated with unsucessful results.
