It has been suggested I make this into a new thread.
      This was originally from http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=12%26amp;t=15911%26amp;start=390

Hi everyone, i'm new to using layout to make CDs. Forgive me if this has been asked.

I'm having trouble when inserting sketchup models into layout. I find that corners are rounded rather than sharp.

I can draw a box within layout with sharp corners, but i can't seem to find any way to make the corners of inserted models not rounded.

      see image below:

      thanks in advance

Have you tried the Explode Viewport route pbacot hinted to in that thread, did that work for you?

There really should be a better way to control the lines of inserted models in LO.

It appears that SU is hardcoded to set the Stroke Style to Round Corners and Round Ends during the import/insert.

It would be helpful if this default setting could be changed by the user either in Preferences or Document Setup.

Default Stroke Style of Inserted Model

Just an update on this, I've tried this on LayOut 2015 hoping this has been resolved, but the new LayOut still exhibits the same behavior with inserted models
