Another Render for Grand Designs Live 2014
-
I have to get 6 rendered images finalised by Saturday, so that I can post them off to a pretty big design event in London. I'm starting to get double-vision. I hope all the hard work pays off because I'm about to run to the hills.
This image is for an interior room set for a dining space. I think it's a pretty awesome angle. But hey, what do I know?!

My eye is drawn to the glowing lamp in the BG for some reason.
Nice work. U using Maxwell Studio or just the plugin?
-
Thanks Rich, that lamp wouldn't be my choice but unfortunately is does glow like that! Stupid lamp. I'm using the Studio and the plugin, if that makes sense?! I'm following you guys on Twitter!! I only recently realised that Sketchucation is based in Ireland!!

Next time your down south call in.

Nice, Neets you have a very distinctive style, quite refreshing. The glowing lamp, apart from being close to a natural sweet spot in the frame, also appears to be'square on' to the camera. I think it makes it look a little as though it has been photoshopped in. The base of the lamp looks horizontal (is that what is referred to as a Tangency?), perhaps if it were rotated slightly it might look more natural. I am assuming of course that the base is square in shape and that you believe I have any idea of what I am talking about.

Thanks Nick, that's a lovely compliment. I like the word 'refreshing'! Hmmm...I wonder should I tone that blasted lamp down? It's actually cylindrical!! I hate it!! I hate it even more so now!!! It's difficult to make out its overall shape because of the way it's illuminated and even more so because it's been slightly blurred because of the depth of field. You should be looking at the bird/cake/nice shadows on the wall!!!! I'll see what adjustments I can make in Photoshop.

Ok, I love a wee road-trip!! I was actually talking with friends last week about visiting Cong in Co. Mayo. I've been there many times (my dad is a humongous Quiet Man fan, he met Maureen O'Hara quite a few times, even in her OWN home, they even went to Church together...weird!!).
